Cold, hard shell, bright shield.
Deep within, coal heart longs for
some consuming fire.
This is one of the photographs in my 2019 Exposure Photography Festival exhibit “Industrial Age”, a set of 7 prints from my Coal Oriented series. I’m sharing the exhibit with Kirsten Costoulas’ print series, “Infrastructure”. In her series, she shows that even mundane, functional things that we usually ignore can be objects of beauty if we stop to appreciate them.
The exhibit is currently on in the gallery space at Resolve Photo, running through March 29. You can view the work any time during normal business hours, which are typically Monday – Friday, 10 AM – 6 PM. Or contact me for an appointment to view at other times.
